About Dr. Patel

Priti Patel, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist with extensive training in both adult and adolescent mental health care. At 2nd Chance Treatment Center in Phoenix, Glendale, and Gilbert, Arizona, Dr. Patel provides a variety of outpatient services, including BrainsWay transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and ketamine infusion therapy.

As an experienced psychiatrist, Dr. Patel understands the overwhelming benefits of treating each patient as an individual. She uses evidence-based treatment strategies tailored to every patient’s unique needs and recovery goals. Her primary objective is to help patients achieve optimal mental health to improve their overall quality of life. 

Dr. Patel has always been interested in science and medicine. Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, she completed her Bachelor of Science in both physiology and psychology at the University of Arizona.

Shortly after graduation, Dr. Patel spent her first year of medical school in Newcastle, England, at Northumbria University before completing her studies at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies.

Psychiatry is a deep passion of Dr. Patel’s. After graduating from medical school, she completed an adult psychiatry residency and a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.

Dr. Patel has special training in diagnosing and treating a variety of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She believes every patient deserves a compassionate doctor who can provide effective treatment.

Outside of her work at 2nd Chance Treatment Center, Dr. Patel is an active member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
