About Dr. Davidson

Christopher Davidson, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist with more than 13 years of extensive training. At 2nd Chance Treatment Center in Surprise, Tucson, and Flagstaff, Arizona, Dr. Davidson diagnoses and treats many types of addictions, including marijuana and opioid dependence.

Dr. Davidson obtained his bachelor’s degree from Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota, in 1998. During his time as an undergraduate, Dr. Davidson studied biology, chemistry, and psychology. In 2003, he earned his Medical Doctorate from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine (USD Sanford School of Medicine) in Vermillion.

After receiving his medical degree, Dr. Davidson completed a four-year general psychiatry residency at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry Residency Program.

Today, Dr. Davidson holds board certifications and is a diplomate with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), the American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM), and the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS).
