Laura is an Argosy University of Phoenix Alumni who graduated with her master’s degree in Counseling in 2008. Laura has worked in various settings such as Outpatient, Residential Treatment and Crisis Therapy in both clinical and administrative roles.  Laura has Laura has 11 years of experience as a therapist/behavioral health clinician.  Laura is a native Arizonian who is a Licensed Professional Counselor with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health.

 

Laura practices in the areas of children, adolescence, adults, family and recovery maintenance, general mental health, trauma, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self-harm, youth or adolescent sexually maladaptive behaviors, self-esteem, body image issues, eating disorders, mood disorders, anger management issues and emotional regulation.

 

Laura utilizes CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Play Therapy and Strategic Family Therapy in order to ensure services are individualized and person centered. Laura understands how much bravery it takes to ask for help. Because asking for help and change can be difficult and scary. Laura also understands the importance of feeling heard, validated, supported, and empowered in your own treatment. 

 

Laura enjoys spending time with her family, friends and with her 3 dogs. Laura enjoys reading, walking, movies, dog training and art.
