About Dr. Ghani
Sadia B. Ghani, MD, is a board-certified outpatient psychiatrist at 2nd Chance seeing patients from our Tucson, AZ locations. Dr. Ghani specializes in sleep medicine, neuropsychiatry, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, cognitive disorders, community psychiatry and clinical research.
Dr. Ghani obtained two bachelor’s degrees in psychology and business, management and finance from Brooklyn College, CUNY. She also obtained an MBA in healthcare management from Davenport University, Grand Rapids, MI. She received her medical degree in 2014 from the Medical University of the Americas and went on to complete psychiatry residency at the University of Arizona, College of medicine in Tucson, AZ. She further expanded her education as a postdoctoral fellow, engaged in clinically relevant research looking at the interplay between sleep health, culture, dietary choices and mental health. She is a recipient of a NIH funded T32-training grant, awarded several small grants from the University of Arizona, an awardee of the Young Investigators Research Forum, and among few others. She has completed several certifications in Clinical Translational Research and Integrative Medicine. She has several published manuscripts in peer reviewed journals and has had the privilege of presenting her work at several national conferences. She is also an active member of several professional organizations.
Dr. Ghani believes in providing personalized and tailored treatment, using evidence-based treatment strategies. This entails using a holistic and well-rounded approach, that includes medications, alternative and complementary treatments, and supportive therapy.
During Dr. Ghani’s free time, she enjoys cooking, working out, spending quality time with friends and family, and travelling.
