About Stan Savoia

Stan Savoia is a Licensed Professional Counselor at 2nd Chance with thirty years of experience providing care for individuals with mental health and substance abuse disorders. Stan completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology at Arizona State University. He obtained his master’s degree in behavioral health counseling from Ottawa University. Stan as a professional counselor enjoys working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds. He is experienced working with mood disorders, anxiety, addictions, grief and loss, relationship concerns, conflict resolution, abuse, and anger management. Along with cognitive-behavioral therapy, Stan utilizes solution-focused therapy, and individual and group therapy. Stan’s mission is to empower his client’s by utilizing their strengths and improving their coping skills to live a happier and healthier life.

Stan was raised in Chicago before moving to Arizona in 1982. His hobbies include playing sports, exercising, and spending time with family and friends. Stan has been married for 34 years and has two children. He recently became a grandfather in July 2022.
